An Ancient Art Perfect for Modern Times

Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong are related exercise systems from China. They have been  developed through the ages by those interested in self-cultivation and moving  in a natural and relaxed way. They function as a meditation, a martial art, a profound way to  build and maintain good health and develop self-awareness, and are classical forms of movement. Our Tai Chi Form is a long choreographed series of moves and our Qi Gong exercises are simple moving and stationary postures.

Moving comfortably, from the soles of your feet to the top of your head, from the base of your spine to the tips of your fingers. Qi flows freely, abundantly , like a river, like clouds, sky above, earth below, relaxed and at ease.

 

What is Tai Chi

Tai Chi Chuan is a body-mind exercise that originated in China. There are 4 major components of Tai Chi.

  • Tai Chi is  a moving meditation
  • Tai Chi is a form of self-healing based on the principles of Chinese Medicine developed over thousands of years.

      Hi Jon, Tai Chi classes are $55 a month for 1 class per week, $70 a month for 2-3 classes a week. Classes are held 8 am Tuesday and Thursday, and 10 am Saturday. I have a Qi Gong drop-in fee of $10 per class on Saturdays at 9 am.Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks for your interest. Wendy
